Territorial matters are disputed in several parts of the world. Names and groupings used here follow the identifiers in the underlying dataset and are used for reference convenience only, not as an endorsement of any claim by any party.
Codes, currencies and dialling
ISO 3166 country codes, ISO 4217 currency codes, international dialling codes, internet country domains and time zone identifiers are maintained by their respective standards bodies and registries, and may be revised or withdrawn at any time. The international access prefix used to place a call varies by originating network and is outside our control. Do not rely on this site alone for dialling, payment, shipping, customs or regulatory purposes.
Public holiday dates
Public holiday dates are indicative. Population, area and distance
Population and area figures are reference values from the underlying dataset and are not live statistics. Distances on nearby country pages are great-circle distances calculated between country centre points, not border to border, not road distance, and not travel time.
